About the Prism series

The dispersion of white light through a prism exposes different wavelengths that the human eye sees as different colors. The beauty of color is that it is open to the interpretation of the viewer and how each individual experiences color. There are colors that the human eye is not able to see. Furthermore, if you juxtapose two or more colors, it is interesting to observe how it changes our perception of one particular color since it is influenced by surrounding colors.  I am always surprised to see how my paintings are transformed once I apply the third and final color as the result can be unpredictable.
